Formada na zona leste de São Paulo no começo de 1994, o Hateen sempre uniu
vários elementos de música alternativa em sua sonoridade.

Influenciados pelo punk rock, hardcore e indie rock, a banda sempre manteve um estilo próprio, principalmente em suas letras, e por isso o Hateen tem um grande envolvimento com seu público, que se identifica com elas.

Desde o início o HATEEN teve em sua formação, o “hit maker” Rodrigo Koala
(guitarra e vocal) - compositor de alguns dos grandes sucessos do CPM22 como “Um Minuto Para o Fim do Mundo”, “Irreversível” e “Não Sei Viver Sem Ter Você” e Ricardo Di Roberto, o Japinha - (também batera do CPM22). Com algumas mudanças em sua formação, a banda manteve-se na estrada fazendo shows, gravando, e
....”correndo atrás” para colocar em prática seus sonhos.

Em 1994 gravaram a primeira fita demo, chamada "Blind Youth" e seu primeiro
álbum "Hydrophobia". Em 1998 o ep “Feeling Like Nick” e no final de 1999 gravam o segundo álbum, “Dear Life”, que sai no início de 2000 . Alguns meses após o lançamento do álbum, Fernando Sanches (Dance Of Days, Small Talk, Againe, Van
Damien – hoje também baixista do CPM22) assume o baixo.

No natal de 2001, gravam a música "Teenage X-Mas Song" que foi incluída no CD de natal do Hangar 110, tradicional casa de shows de rock de São Paulo, onde em 2002, gravaram o disco ao vivo, "More Live Than Dead". O 4º. Álbum - ”LOVED” foi lançado em Janeiro de 2004.

A Atual formação conta também com Fabrízio Martinelli (Street Bulldogs, Fistt) que completa o time nas guitarras. Nesse final de 2005, o Hateen parte pra uma nova fase com a inclusão de composições em português e a primeira música de trabalho “1997” - já está nas rádios de todo o país. No início de 2006 o disco novo, o 1º. pela ARSENAL MUSIC e com a produção de Rick Bonadio.

O objetivo da banda continua sendo o mesmo, tocar o máximo possível, nos mais diferentes lugares e manter a integridade e a emoção em sua música, independente do idioma no qual ela é escrita.

Hateen had its start in 1994, always with the intent of adding elements of alternative music in its sonority.
Influencied by punk rock, hardcore and indie rock, the group tries to keep its own style and to play a very personal music.
Specially in the lyrics, the group shows the real and sincere feelings of daily situations, with a strong emotional content.
That's maybe the reason why they create such a big involvement with their public.
Rodrigo Koala ]guitar and vocal] , Ricardo di Roberto [drums], and Cesar Santisteban [bass and vocal] gave concerts all
over the country, recorded their first demo "Blind Youth" and the first album "Hydrophobia" (Choice Records). In 1996, another
guitar player, Boris Fratogianni, joined the group and they recorded, in 1998, the album "Feeling like Nick" (Holiday Records), which
is soud out. A few months after, C. Santisteban left the group and Fernando Sanches [Dance of Days, Small Talk, Againe, Van Damie] took his place.
"Teenage XMas Song" was recorded in 2001, in a CD specially made for a Christmas Party at the Hangar 110, a punk rock night-club in Sao Paulo, with the four of them, plus Maurício Takara. The first live album, "More Live Than Dead", was recorded in 2002, at the Hangar 110. The group has also a cover of the American band Husker DU (Don't Wanna Know if You're Lonely). At the end of 2002, Fernando Sanches has left the group and Andre Abreu (Dé) joined it.Hateen is now ultimating the arrangements for the third studio album wich will come out this year.
